Week 1 of 3rd year work:
Today we were assigned our third years for the next few weeks, this involves us helping out with their end of year work.
My third year was ill so i was partnered with jes to go with a girl called sharon.
Her collection is based on Africa, she has used african style fabrics and created her own fabric in the print studio.
We were asked to go into town for her to buy lining, zips, buttons etc
Then we cut out some of her jacket lining pieces, faced some pattern pieces for a pair of trousers and finished by sewing rope detail by hand onto one of her garments.
Im looking forward to meeting my assigned 3rd year to see her collection and ask her what pathway she has taken and why.
